Angkor wat

Is it worth going? Obviously a Google search will say go but is it worth it, is it just a tourist trap. Currently sitting in Vung Tau Vietnam planning the next few days. Singapore tomorrow, anywhere that will show the late game, could do with watching it to send me to sleep.

Went back in 2014.
If you're into templea it's pretty cool. I particularly liked the Tomb Raider temple from memory.
If you want to do something a bit different and like temples then I suggest Bagan in Burma. Rent a moped and ride round thousands. Very cool

Yes it is. It's a lot to take in so half day tour is enough. Get your visa first because you will queuing for 40 minutes ish. The Damrei hotel is nice..You don't really need a guide

Always quite liked Vinnie. I'd much rather spend the day walking around the Yorkshire moors/dales than Angkor fucking Wat in the 100 degrees heat, but each his own as they say.

Surprised you didn't like it Manuel, i thought it amazing and very serene, mind you being the only one there at 6am watching the Sun rise (with a hangover) was maybe something to do with it!
Not that im a arty sort of bloke or cultured as it were! 8 pints of Stella listening to Jive bunny with my arm around a Brass is culture to me..................

Well worth a visit. Get a Tuk Tuk for the day, do the sunrise tour, and temple your tits off until you csnt face anymore. Tuk tuk back to your hotel, little nap, then out in pub street and surrounding area for cheap drinks and good food.

Boat Quay in Singapore will have somewhere showing the game. I watched us when we beat Spurs at their new stadium for the first time, only made sweeter by the fact the place i chose along there was the Tottenham Supports club bar of choice

Definitely go! It's brilliant. Yes, it's full of tourists (local and not), but that doesn't make it rubbish. Went in 2018 and booked a tour through someone like Viator - it's huge, as has been said, so you need someone. Plus having an air conditioned car to retreat to is nice - I was sweating so much that poeple were looking at me (it was the humid time, I promise)!
The town is tourist central and exists just for tourists, but it's not that bad. Lovely little hotels that are nearly free.

I went there in 1997 was fuck all there then. But if you're asking the question about the temples then I'm presuming it's something you're interested in and if so yes they're pretty cool.

Definately worth going. You can hire a guide to take you round the different sites for next to nothing.Ta Prohm is worth a look.

It really depends if you're into to temples or not, some people like Sydney may find it amazing, others boring. Siam Reap is a decent little town though with plenty of bars and restaurants.
Will be 3.30 KO in Sing not sure what time they stay open there but Clarke Quay will likely be your best bet. There's also a so called West Ham bar in Robinson Quay, maybe contact the cunts https://uncabunca.com.sg/

Certainly, aint a tourist trap, or at least wasn't when i visited, absolutely amazing, is very spread out though, not like you can walk it! nedd some kind of transport and a few days if you want to see it all, i did sunrise at the main temple and was about the only person there, incredible experience
Was late 90,s when i went, hired a bloke on a motorcycle for the day from the local town through the guest house i stayed at, he came to pick me up complete with a gun!!! asked him what it was for, he said protection!!! The Khmer Rouge were still around at the time, by all accounts my US$20 paid to him was his fee and included the bung he made to the Khmer to ensure my safety, it was still mined back then as well so had to stay on designated paths only.
But was a memorable visit, no doubt today its infested with the usual tourist shit but it is a stunning place all the same, if not the most awesome place i have ever visited.
If your in the neck of the woods, ensure you give it plenty of time
